A few weeks ago i was teaching mattepainting and i layed down the base of this matte painting there. The class was a pretty basic take on some of the principals of mattepainting.

It was quite fun to do for an audience. The software I used was Photoshop CS 2 and of course my trusty wacom intuos 2. When i worked on this piece i tried to convey the importance of perspectives, composition, colourbalance, contrast and so on.

After the classes i decided to keep working on the piece,changing and altering the composition to push it further and further. And so a couple of more days with work resulted in this piece.
